Objective: To learn addition and subtraction by recollection and memorization. Learn odd and even numbers.
Materials: cardstock, large poster board, glue, scissors, blue red & green markers, ruler, pencil, plastic sheet
Procedure:
1. Cut out cardstock into 24 small squares.Use a ruler and pencil to make perfect, uniform squares.
2. Cut the plastic sheet into 24 small squares slightly larger than the cardstock squares and glue around the edges leaving the top unglued. Attach them to the poster chart placing them in rows of three.
3. Color odd numbers red and even numbers blue.
4. Make 3 addition and 3 subtraction signs coloring them red and blue. Make 6 equal signs.
5. Create addition and subtraction problems and color coordinate.
6. Now it's your child's turn. Have them place the the correct answers in the pocket.
7. Repeat the project by rearranging the numbers.
